2010 - 2011 Organizational Accomplishments 
Because of your support we were able to accomplish the following...

Children's Programs
  • Served over 400 children through a combination of programs in Early Head Start, Head Start, and Pre-K (ages 6 weeks – 5)
  • Served over 130 children through the After School Program (ages 5 -13)
  • Completed the 2011 Head Start Triennial Federal Review process in the categories of Health Services, Nutritional Services, Mental Health Services, Disabilities Services, Family and Community Partnerships,
    Transportation, Education and Early Childhood Development Services, Fiscal Management and Program Design and Management
     
  • Passed annual licensing inspection at all Marcy-Newberry centers 
  • Successfully recruited teachers with Bachelors of Arts degrees in Early Childhood Education
  
Youth Programs
  • Provided 120 educational scholarships to elementary school children
  • Provided a series of Evening Programs for community youth and adult groups
  • Completed a 10-Week Summer Camp Program (ages 5 -13)

Senior Program
  • Served over 200 Senior Citizens through the Intensive Case Advocacy and Support (ICASA) program at the Congressman Collins Home
Agency
  • Received an unqualified audit for FY 2010-2011
  • 532 volunteers served Marcy-Newberry representing 21 groups totaling 2,820 hours at a value of $26,485
