Marcy Center
Marcy Center is located at 1539 South Springfield Avenue, in the North Lawndale Community. We have Head Start Head Start/ Collaboration, Child Care and After School Programs. These programs serve children 2 to 13 years old, providing children with quality care and a safe environment to grow.
We also have an Evening Program that serves teens and adults. They are provided counseling, opportunities to play games, basketball and other activities. Our Senior Program meets on Wednesday’s to plan their activities. They participate in activities such as quitting, knitting, health awareness and cooking. They are a community of elders that offer a great deal of wisdom and vitality.
The center operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 until 6:00 p.m. for our Head Start and After School Programs. We operate our Evening Program Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Marcy Center has offered services to the North Lawndale Community since the early 1930’s for low income families and the neighboring community. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of young children, teens and their families. Marcy Center is a long lasting part of the changing community of North Lawndale and will continue to provide services to all that enters our door.
