Senior Services Program located at Collins Apartments

The senior services coordinator assists seniors with various applications for senior services and provides resources for seniors for independent living. The program also provides structured activities, trips, and events. These activities help to provide cultural enrichment for the seniors. The program currently serves 195 residents of Collins Apartments, as well as seniors in the community. Moreover, we have a resource database that is available for any Illinois senior that may need assistance. 

At Collins Apartments we also collaborate with Fosco Park located across the street from Collins Apartments to allow seniors access to the swimming pool and the exercise room. Some of our activities include: Arts and Crafts, Quilting, and Fabric Painting. Some of our events include: Rap Sessions, Line Dancing, Steppers Lessons and our annual Black History Program. The seniors also provide articles, recipes, and information for our newsletter. The coordinator works closely with the property managers to assure the seniors a peaceful and independent living environment.
